This update seems to have caused chaos and confusion amongst normal every day legend users, in my eyes it would have been much better if a proper engineer from nokta had made a video showing us how to go on and not put Dilek in the hot seat. Surely its not above noktas capabilities to produce a video which would be ore informative and a more professional approach than doing this on the cheap, half the legend users dont know which way to turn now!

if somehow the device becomes noisy in Park or Field mode with M1, M2 or M3 and before you used Beast Mode, don't forget to reset both GB1 and GB2 from Beast Mode to 0 before switching to Park or Field, it seemed to me that if not doing this the device becomes more unstable. In the end I decided to downgrade from 1.14 to 1.11.

I agree with you 100% Liam, I personally downgraded 1.14 to 1.11. "DT" has no advantage in depth and Beast Mode is only silent. Comparing with M1 in Field mode, it doesn't catch a target at the same depth, M1 works better. Beast Mode's "IR" setting can give false at non-ferrous targets at great depth, seen as ferrous, also DT pushed to a high value can destabilize the device. Beast mode consumes the battery faster and emits a hum in the headphones. Having said that, I do not consider this update to be a major improvement to the device. I follow with great interest everything you post, I am waiting for you to do other tests if necessary with this mod. With respect Emilian

Hi Liam tried this on test garden I have with 5 coins at about 8-12 inches deep and it would only pick up 3 of them? In all modes it was fine other than beast mode . Keep up all the good work you do for so many 👍

I went to the beach yesterday with my friend who'd updated his legend on this beta programme, basically 8 wasn't convinced this was worth upgrading so iv left mine on 1.11.

Liam, I don’t get out much lately but started detecting in 1973, have used almost every major detector known to man, and used to be a hard core digger as a teenager, putting in 8 hours a day Saturday and Sunday. As I mentioned before, with the Deus 1, highest transmit power, set up properly, I have hit single 58 caliber Minnie balls, measured up to 17”, bottom of the hole, pinpointer. I have never seen anyone, anywhere dig a small target that deep. We have some places with neural soil, so that didn’t happen in clay. I still think the Deus 3.2 in transmit 3 setting, was a TRUE BEAST MODE, we just didn’t know it, lol. I just updated my Deus 2 with latest 2.0, but up until now, could nowhere match my old deus 1 with 3.2. I also personally knew Jerry Tyndal of Nautilus detectors very well. His detector the 2-b was ahead of its time, with 44 volts of transmit power, but the coil had to be perfectly balanced to work properly. Transmit power is what punches down. I really appreciate your honest review, it takes guts to be honest, because in the past, the so called FIELD TESTERS, were afraid to tell it like it is. Go back or remember the field tests in magazines, they were all rave reviews, very little honesty. I’m glad I didn’t download MOUSE MODE, LOL. Thanks for all you do.

Totally agree mate, I used it the other day on the beach and on the fields and it didn’t perform how it used to, I’m out again this Sunday with it on pasture, so I’ll see how it performs then in field and park mode with a small amount of time in full mouse mode as you put it 😂 I will also have another detector with me to go over the land again once I’ve done it with The Legend 👍

Looking at noktas new video on this beta, the comments tell you there's still alot of questions to be rectified, I'm just leaving mine on 1.11.

I found DT to be best on 1/2 ... Once passed that it felt all over the place ... And the beast was silent on normally decent signals

I'm going out now try and find a 17yr old wife's grandmothers ring. Been using Manticore, so I'll try 2 tone park and gold program on this deep/beast. I'm kinda thinking it may hit almost as hard as the manticore with the m8 versus lg24. We'll see.

Make sure to let Nokia know about this test please you are absolutely right about increasing the sensitivity and being able to to use it in park and field I am on a site now in which it’s a 5 hour drive for me but this place has everything from revolution war to the civil wars to Ww1 and 2 and it goes way back to are first settlers in North America I found out using Beach mode is my best option I was here a few months ago and did real well using beach mode if I got even got a good high tone one way with proper ID it was 99.9 and old coin and if I wanted to I can dig iron I found a civil war pistol with the simplex plus a few years ago i been at this site now 3 years and I am just starting to get the older silver coins

Just upgraded to a legend, is it worth learning abit with it first or down load the beast mode and jump straight to it, what's the beast mode like anygood?
