phones like this could gain sony some traction in the smartphone market. showing it off at ces has paid off. while none of the other big smartphone guys showed any new devices it gave the Z a chance to shine in coverage. I just hope it performs top notch, camera, speed and stability. plus Sony keeps it updated for a while. I may sell my optimus G for this, maybe.. If no A15 or krait 400 based phones are out when it comes out anyway.

How did you hold the camera with a hands on review?

i think the slick glass helps with the waterproofing, unfortunately slick is just bad for prints. but a simple case would probably fix that problem.

build of this and optimus G seem similar, glass on both sides of each. Both rock the snapdragon s4 pro chip. The Z is prettier though with its slim profile, nice power button and camera. Little visual touches that make it nicer to me.Depending on when it comes out, im tempted to get this to use for a little while. Ill have to see it in person and play with its ui to see if its fast and fluid as my optimus g. Regardless, A15 or krait 400 phone will replace any s4 pro phone for me this year

do you think is there another version of this phone other than this made in china?

you missed a few things, there is an sd card for the phone and the camera has a exmor rs camera not the exmor r. The top of the phone actually has a sealed head phone jeck.

That design is simply awesome though! Not too sure about the specs since their phones on the market with similar specs. Apart from the design i think Sony has to do something software wise in order to stand out of the crowd.

Xperia Z will be my next device for sure! the sturdiest phone i've seen so far! even more attractive than the Butterfly from HTC! even iPhone 5 can not hold a candle against this new king of smartphones! good thing i haven't bought the Optimus G! Sony, make believe! ;-)

Guys, the headphone jack is on top of the phone! There is a flap to open it! Cause is water resistant so it close with a flap on the top!

i agree that samsung is the top in the market right now but sony by god is the manufacturer of the sexiest and most beautiful smartphones on the planet ... unlike samsung and apple it always does sumthing sexy with the design which separates it from the other compenies ... love u sony !!!
