Hee hee, the framerate argument.
I must admit i do disgree with the 24/25fps timeline. I get all the arguments but, most stuff is viewed on social media, low framerates look bad with low bitrates. You get more artifacts than 30/50/60. If you are delivering outside of social media fine.
Many people shot higher framerates, including me and I have tired them all. You can also pan faster with higher framerates. I will say it is a artistic choice.
As to the last one, you don't know what you don't know, and i think this was the situation. He did the best he knew with what he had and knew. It takes a lot of practice to get good.
Second film, i do feel the cuts were because the clips were not good and shooter was trying to hide out of focus or something else wrong with the clip, so was cutting for that.
As to gimbals, love them as I shoot with a faster action than the slow moving shots. I like to intercut the too. Yeah Gimbals are awesome but require practice. Don't just pick it up and shoot, practice with it in your back garden and then edit it. You will improve heaps.
