Quick update: since posting this video, I have actually been playing a single target setup in raid testing that uses both the Firestorm and Shattering Star talents, which I've found actually rounds out the general rotation quite nicely by introducing two new short cooldown buttons, where you cast Firestorm to extend Fire Breath, and pool resources for short Shattering Star burst windows.

I for one welcome an easier rotation since (as you mention) there will be other challenges we need to get used to, such as their mobility, utility and limited range :)
If the spec was among the more complex rotations out there, I think it would immediately scare most of the playerbase off of the class.

They need a Hook. like Preservation has Echo Devastation feels like it needs something new we haven't seen before imo.

Back in Legion the DD DH was also press 2 skills and a filler and people failed at this class...

Destro lock has a VERY simple rotation and its still pretty fun, if you want a more conected kit try ele shaman by far one of the most fun ranged specs

Aren't you supposed to use pyre at 20 stacks even on single target?

Personal opinion: I've tried evoker since I got the beta (i think like... 2 weeks ago? something like that), the rotation feels pretty unengaging and slow (ahem, disintegrate spam), probably 'cause i have 300 ms on the beta servers, but other than that I don't find it very engaging.
Disintegrate feels way more powerful than Pyre, and also feels better to press in AoE (Dis does something like 22k for me, while pyre 5k, making pyre worth only on 5+ targets, and even then, if Disintegrate procs an ES it's more damage than Pyre, unless you ofc talent the hell out of Pyre, making it still do underwhelming damage)

I fed back the suggestion that snapfire should proc off of Pyre so that it has some interaction. There's too many things pushing living flame up the priority list when it's supposed to be a filler and as such the bottom of the priority.

don't make your mind up before playing it, yes it is simple but simple isnt necessarily bad.

Just give us glyphs to make fire breath / pyre / living flame BLUE and I'm happy. Most fun spec ever.

Between DH and evoker 2 specs each and very simple, I don't think they have it in them to make a complete and complex class anymore.
