My goldfish has severe swim bladder, literally cannot get his head upright, he's in constant distress so going to stop his suffering. Thank you for the video, very real.

Thanks for this. I can't believe my gold fish went on for 26 years.

My 4yr old betta has laid on the bottom of his tank for weeks. He stopped eating a week ago. Broke my heart to just see him dying a slow death. I just used this method and he passed within minutes 😪

I really do not like seeing fish dying, but its better than they would suffer ☹

My angelfish has been sitting at the bottom of the tank for a few days now, swimming around every so often but struggling. I'm suspecting swim bladder disease- stopped feeding him, and I've done a water change. I'll give him a week or so to recover, but I really hate seeing him like this and feel like the worse thing would be to let him starve because he isn't eating. Glad there is a way to let them pass without them being in pain <3

This is good to know, painless for the fish best thing for them at that point.

Interesting... I wonder if that would work for the fish I bring home for eating after a day of fishing. Probably not I would guess, wouldn't watch that stuff in my fish meat. Interesting video my friend.

Thank you for this instructional video. I'm getting ready to do this to my fish today. So hard to do but it's been three days and my little lady's condition seems to be worsening. I think she's got fish leukemia. Bent spine and swimming in a corkscrew pattern. She's struggling to unbend herself but it's not working. She hasn't eaten in days. On a side note, are you in the UK? Do you guys get snow there? What do you do with your koi when the water gets cold? Are they able to handle the cold weather?

This is interesting. At least that's more humane than what I would have thought of: just removing them from the water.

*Poor fish, did the right thing for them though. I used Clove oil for toothache before*

I had to do this today with my molly but I steeped cloves in hot water all day. The fish stopped swimming and looked like it wasn't breathing anymore after like 1 minute and after like 15 I flushed it. Now I'm second guessing myself like what if he was just knocked out. Poor thing was so sick he kept going belly up I couldn't watch him struggle anymore.
