The Canon TS8320 is literally the worst printer on the market. $80 for cartridges. I don't understand why you even put that one in the video. The software and hardware are tragically bad. The other models are pretty decent.

my et-2550 epson tank printer was $270 at wal-mart 3 yrs ago with a 3-year warranty.
its still printing well. 12000+ mostly b/w & about 5% of total being color 8x10 fotos .
the amortized cost of a color 8x10 print is about 30 cents.

and should it go tits up i wont hesitate to buy another tank printer.. likely an epson

toothpicks are used as 'dipsticks' to measure the 4 tank ink levels. once a month or so.
black runs out the fastest. and be advised the s/w can use the 3 colors to make black.
unless you specifically select just black ink.

in its 3 yrs of service only once have i bought ink, $20 +/- 0n ebay for a set of 4 4-oz bottles
non-epson too. no problems. but be sure and watch the tank levels so they dont get too low

and , of course, i am infinitely glad to be out from under the tyranny of using cartridge printers.
and having to worry if they would run dry right in the middle of a photo print
