Dude you had the perfect opportunity to show the cause that EVGA isn’t talking about and you blew it! If you still have the card you need to check the fuses with a multimeter now. It’s most likely the 10A fuse that blew. Same EXACT thing happened to mine and it IS NOT new world causing it. It can be caused by ANY GAME that has uncapped frame rates in situations where they can “run away” or spike the voltage through the roof rather than gradually increasing/decreasing FPS as it does during normal gameplay. The reason people were saying the menu caused it is because in menus or loading screens the FPS is able to go from 0 to i infinity in a split second. This overwhelms the shitty VRM and OC protection can’t react fast enough and BOOM. You just blew a fuse. Go into Nvidia control panel and limit the computers FPS to 300-500 so that this can’t happen. Bottom line…evga’s decision to use a 10A fuse and not distribute the power appropriately on these cards is the culprit. My card failed going from the lobby to the loading screen while playing COD Cold War.

I haven't followed this too close but I believe evga tried to do their own thing with cooling and it bugs out trying to overdrive the fans and burns out the fan controller chip

Good luck getting an rma. One of my brand new cards fried and they denied the warranty. Reason board was damaged is what they said. When I got it back I tore it down and nothing was noticed.

Good day. I'm from South Africa going to build my first gpu mining rig. Going to use rtx 3070 ti cards. But having a problem with motherboard and cpu. LGA 1151 is mostly sold out. What of the newer generation mother boards will work. I not big fan of second hand. Thank you

the components that start with "f" are fuses, there should be 4-5. Those caps shunt power. The fuses should read very low resistance, even in the board if they are good

Someone said it's bricked because the fuse near pci-e bus power supply blows up. you could fix it by replacing the fuse.

heard rumor that it might be the fuse on EVGA cards that's blowing. But really I don't think anybody knows what exactly is going wrong with these cards. Apart from maybe EVGA at this point.
