Here’s my ranking;

5th: Akeboshi - this is by no means a bad opening. In fact, if the song was in any other anime, it would probably be very well received. However, it just doesn’t stack up to the overall Hype inducing madness that is the top three

4th: Mugen - This is once again, a very good opening, that I really wish had a better season to tie in with. Season 4 really just felt like filler, and even though that doesn’t really affect the opening, it still makes the visuals and overall story of the opening feel a little less hype than the following openings. And on that note…

3rd: Zankyousanka - WHAT AN ABSOLUTE FUCKING BANGER! This opening perfectly encapsulates the Entertainment District Arc hype train. I honestly go back and forth between this being my top 2-3, and it genuinely depends on my current taste in the music, as the visuals of numbers 2-3 are equally as good. Seriously though, this opening is just that good.

2nd: Kizuna no Kiseki - This absolute masterpiece of an anime opening feels like it takes the best of Mugen and Zankyousanka, and combines the two. Amazing visuals, in my opinion probably the best in any Demon Slayer Opening. Banger Music having both fantastic male and female vocalists absolutely fucking shredding it. It just hits different every single time, and for how much people disliked the Swordsmith Village Arc for being a drop off in quality from the Entertainment District Arc, it still manages to be an absolute masterpiece of an opening.

1st: Gurenge - Do I really have to explain myself here? When you think of Demon Slayer, This opening immediately comes to mind, and for damn good reason. LiSa’s vocals prove to be simply spectacular in this opening, and has great visuals to go along with it. The song also matches the atmosphere of the Unwavering Resolve Arc so well. This isn’t just the best Demon Slayer openings, this is one of the best openings in Anime period.
