Kentucky All State Choir - National Anthem - 2019

Every night of the All State Choir conference at about 11pm, everyone comes out to the balconies of the 18 story Hyatt hotel to sing the National Anthem

*American friend looks to the sky, an eagle screams in the distance and a tear slides down their face*

The sopranos on the word "free" sounded other-worldly. Absolutely beautiful.

The most superb rendition of our National Anthem I’ve ever heard. Made the hair on my head stand straight up. Even on my bald spot.

You know something just feels wrong about a single person singing any national anthem. A national anthem is the anthem of the people, not one to be sung to you by a single man of that country and for you to listen, it is one for you to join in on. To proclaim your love for your nation.

This is how I wish the song would be performed when it's broadcasted instead of a single vocalist doing runs through the whole song. This is far more beautiful and touching.
