Wouldn't a higher number of threads per inch decrease the linear motion per screw turn?

I asked a lot of people making vises some use acme threads some use square ones and others use standard v shaped, which thread is stronger when tightening the vise against a hard object? Which threads break first standard V or acme under the same condition, for example? Can you please answer my question? Thanks in advance.
