I have never tried sewing on my own. My mom always helped me and since she died I have been scared to even sew a button. You sound nothing like her, and look nothing like her, but something about you makes me feel so comfortable. I am going to try and make this and I’m actually really looking forward to making the time to do so. :)

I like this bag, but I’m not clear on how the zipper sewing line look on the right side of the bag. Will there be another row of stitching showing close to the reinforcement stitches you made that hold the lining from turning out? I guess I should download the pattern and study it and the instructions.

Fiskars: Our blades are packaged with oil on them to prevent rust/corrosion while they are sitting in warehouses and other distribution centers. The oil is not harmful...if there is excess, it can be wiped off.

Why are the side pieces cut 2 of lining cut 2 of self? It only takes 1 of each cut on fold

When I cut out the side piece and tried putting it on the walls it was not long enough to reach around to the other side. The piece I cut out was 15 in but the wall was 22 inches is there anyway to fix it?
