DIY Range Hood and Electric Cook-top Install - Kitchen Renovation

This is how we installed our cook-top and range hood. The install was a little slow but went well overall. There are some improvements that could be made with the range hood, but we did our best to work around the problems.

Well done 👍!! Doug, as someone who helped run a kitchen exhaust systems cleaning business for commercial kitchens for almost 20 yrs ... I can tell you that NO system is ‘quiet’ 🙄. When you went to cut your ductwork I was nervous for you 😩 but you did an excellent job ! We cleaned the filters, the plenum & the trunk lines large enough to walk through ( power washed them ), installed fire rated access doors, and cleaned the updraft fans on the roof ( or side mount as yours is ) that we’re 5-10 ft in diameter ! I’m so PROUD of you 👍 ❤️. Awesome 😎

You guys did a great job on that kitchen, it's hard to believe it is the same place, I knew when you bought the house it would end up being gutted and rebuilt, everything is looking so well done and quality, you have to be proud of it now. 😚
