I stand corrected...normally when a chainstore like nakumatt is in the brink of collapsing, a sane government would issue it with subsidies to keep it afloat..the same should apply to Mumias sugar, KCC, Chemelil, webuye paper etc this is mainly to protect the employees and keep that chain alive for tax collections and economic growth and to protect buyers from inflation of commodity prices....there used to be ministry of commerce and industry....
