after realizing how much combat potential asgore has in the undertale lore, seeing how in his fight he legit wanted to lose, even by then giving frisk a hard time, i would love to see how he does when he is actually given a purpose to give his all for his people. my man would become a fucking beast.

I don’t have much to say other than that visual of X-Gaster in between the openings of the blades before they reveal Cross is just incredible.

What I like about this episode is how jael portrayed Cross in this episode. He went from a mere pawn who suffered a painful past and was consumed by it, to an independent figure that made him the person he was currently, which I really like about.

20:24 I love this scene, it's so well-made to show Cross returning to the light. After everything he's been through, the guilt of what he did to his friends, Dream can stills how him a forgotten memory, of them all still _being_ his friends in the first place. Friends that cared for him, no matter what. Defending himself, and trying to stop XGaster, even if it was a bad action, it doesn't make him a bad person.
And so, Cross takes his first step, and it's beautifully portrayed. He struggles to take it, and sure it looks like it's because of his injuries from his battle with Killer, but it also represents him struggling to finally accept himself, and take that first step mentally. Slowly, as he takes more steps, it becomes easier, and he's finally ready to fight again... Go Cross!
