👨 ABOUT THE CHANNEL:
Hi I'm Shaun Jones. I am a personal trainer, gym owner & martial arts enthusiast. I started lifting weights so I could add more size and strength to my frame to help with the grappling aspect of fighting. I then developed a passion for strength training and coaching others to do the same. I now upload daily content to this youtube channel to help educate others on martial arts, self defense, awareness, fitness & overall provide social commentary in hope I can help a few people who need it. Thanks for supporting the channel.

there is no going berserker mode with Alex, he sleeps you if you do.

Fighting skills aside, I believe Alex is a role model for younger generations. The way he carry himself, always respectful, not much trash talking at all and turning opponents into sparring partners. He's sending a clear message: "Don't brawl... Just fight."

Sean can hold his own against Alex. Problem is he hits nowhere near as hard as Alex, so in a real fight even if Sean is pressuring and out-striking, it's only a matter of time before he gets his bell rung.

Strickland training with poatan is like games running double xp on the weekends

You can tell they are both at an extremely high level. Sean usually bulldozes everyone, but against Alex it’s feints, mind games, and studying galore!

Love both these fighters and what a cool odd friendship they have. Alex trolling Sean at gas station was fantastic 😂

I really like how Shaun was talking about Poa not letting Strickland’s hands relax. This is literally a strategy gsp had covered in his fight against BJ. BJ having some of the fastest reaction times in the game and literally tiring him out by making him react. It’s crazy.

You gotta have respect for Sean for humbling himself and learning from the man who knocked him out. You’ll never see Izzy doing this

Watching Alex's kickboxing at Glory, his timing is impeccable. He knows where you are going before you throw it. Just picks you to pieces.

I like this friendship, since they fought each other and sean went to train with him they’ve both gotten better as fighters

Pereira looks like hes Seans kryptonite but you can see Seans level when you compare it to how people fare in other pereira spars

This is a masterful sparring session. Just enough power, speed to make it a learning experience without hurting each other. I love it. People who do not train do not understand how much energy it takes to do these kind of light sparring. Both were playing chess in their heads you can tell.

Sean wouldn't be able to eat many of those well-located calf kicks. It doesn't take many to be extremely effective at immobilizing.

I think you have to respect Strickland for getting back and trying to learn from his mistakes from the person who beat him and also credit to Alex for wanting to do it. This was a snapshot im sure in MMA alex can learn too. Respect to both

Ngl, that double right hand was brilliant from Sean Strickland though. I think Alex pretty much knocks any of these guys out in a straight up striking match.
