Tenn. woman recounts deadly Cookeville tornado in 2020

A Tennessee woman is sharing her story of surviving the Cookeville tornado in 2020.

One of my good friends was, in fact, living in the. apartment building that got wiped out. Her sister and her kids were the only survivors in that building. Here's what she told me... They were barely able to make it into the downstairs bathroom. I believe it was. And seconds later is when the tornado hit. It ripped the Entire second. floor off. And when it did there was nothing but bear sky above them as she. was she was essentially shielding the kids. She told me that she looked up into this tornado as it passed Right up into the dang thing.... She has severe ptsd now when it comes to anything weather related... as Im sure you all could have guessed.... The saddest part though... Is they lost everything they owned, single mom, raising 2 kids... A church helped out quite a bit with essentials right after it happened... But... She is struggling.... :/ I keep telling her she needs to tell this story, I did it no justice here really on purpose, because all the details she has.. Could 100% be written into a book/movie.. I really would like to get a little encouragement for her, so its not just myself who she thinks is just trying to humor her about the whole situation...
