A Very Sad Goodbye

Goodbye's arent' fun, especially with those you love and care for. We are leaving New Jersey, which means we say goodbye to everyone we know. Jersey has become very close with his daycare provider, Mrs. Dorcas, and on this day he has to say goodbye. We are grateful for the love and care Mrs. Dorcas has shown the Jers man - we appreciate her so much! She also kept Ava and Alexis, the McClure Twins, when they were younger...so this is a sad day for everyone. We will miss you greatly Mrs. Dorcas!!

As a Child Protection Supervisor for over thirty years, the love, joy, and care Ms. Dorcas shows children is exemplary. Her understanding of child development is evident. Her compassion in sharing videos with parents of their children dissipates worries and captures precious moments. The sharing of her culture and language expanses the children language but provides a solid foundation for acceptance for people who are different due to generalizations. The books with photos is an extension of her thoughtfulness. Ms. Dorcas is a blessing. I wish she taught a seminar to child care providers. Ms. Dorcas’ love for the children shines so brightly my eyes shedded tears. On behalf of humanity, Ms. Dorcas, I thank you for the solid foundation you provide children and I hope that you consider becoming a foster parent. I know you could work miracles on the souls of children who need such the kind of nurturing and love you provide to heal and flourish. P.S. you are in the fiber of the McClure children’s hearts, forever a part of them. Congratulations on a job well done.

Everyone needs a Ms Dorca for child care services. She could write a book on how to run a day care. Very interactive with the children. Teaching them colors, languages, how to count. I liked the segment where she did something so simple to engage Jersey's motor skills, the plank with the steps on it. Simple equipment, but the key here from what I can see is she is 'engaging' with the kids. Day care is not sitting children in front of the TV all day with snacks to keep them occupied until the parents arrive. God Bless her!

My sisters, brother, and I all went to the same kindergarten back in the 1950's. Our kindergarten teacher lived around the corner from us when we were growing up. She always loved it whenever we went to see her as we grew up, which was all the time! I loved this video, as always!
