Cleaning burned in oil on a non-stick pan

Показать описание
My daughter accidentally overheated a non-stick pan with oil creating a goo on the bottom that’s nearly impossible to get off.

I found a decently easy way to do it quickly and at no cost.

It worked for me, I hope it helps anyone else looking for a similar solution.

So I thought my Black Diamond nonstick pan was heading for the trash. I decided to give it a shot and look on YouTube to see if anyone can help. Came across your channel and tried the salt. It worked. And the surface doesn’t looked scratched at all. It took some determined effort and time, but it’s now off. I’m so glad. The pan was kinda expensive. Thank you!

Thanks for the tip. Worked like a charm without much elbow grease. I was concerned that salt, being crystals, may hurt the finish but on the contrary, my pan has a new lease on life. Thanks once again, I can vouch that it works

Can’t believe this actually worked! I tried other things with no luck. It did take a lot of elbow grease, but was do-able. Thanks!

Thank you for this video, it worked!! I tried baking soda, vinegar, soap, soaks, Bar Keepers Friend…nothing was working. But salt, a rag, and elbow grease got all of it out!! 🎉

Great job. The actual proper method. Some say baking soda, my mom said salt. You and mom agree. Thanks for sharing!

First, the question does the rag have to be damp? Next, I was cooking some eggs on my nonstick pan this morning with no oil or anything because I was able to do that last week when it was brand new. But now I’ve got baked on crud.

Thank you! Worked like a charm even with some old caked on burnt oil.

Thank you I tried a couple other things that did not work. This took a little elbow grease but I was able to save my pan in like 20 minutes doing this.

Will this work on the sides and bottom on the outside of the pan without ruining the finish?

Worked pretty well other than on the sides where there is older burnt on oil.
