Maybe because that added size year after year was affecting Ronnie's waist, but he got away since he checked out the other departments. Perhaps the judges didnt want him to get that gut out of control to the point that they would have to eventually penalize him. Jay back then had a relatively wider waist but a pretty solid midsection.

Hard to trust these sports where there are judges, there's too many bs happening to chose the "winer", we've seen them in action over the years, people winning that didnt deserve it, people never winning when they should and so on.
