I listened to this video lying down with my eyes closed, with good earbuds, to try and get an unbiased choice, and I came to the conclusion that the audio in this video is so heavily compressed that all the crashes sound virtually identical. I found little to no difference in the characteristic of the sound between the crashes. You guys should post another comparison, but this time either with less EQ, or a backing track that doesn't overwhelm the sound as much. Thank you.

The HHX Evolution Crash is fantastic. I have the 18" and is sounds incredible and cuts through everything.

16, 17 and 18 AA medium thin crashes is the multi-genre...just like the A series medium thin crashes of zildjian..

I'm a rock fan and would prefer the 18" crash size, but after this video I'd rather take this set of 16" great sounding crash cymbals. 🤘🤘🔥🔥

i'd say the HH for me, i like how it's not cutting though too much. it's just simmers with the music

I have doubts of the sound of this video. For me there are differences on the reponses : AA and AAX are more heavy, it's necessary beat more stronger . HH and HHX are more classic sound and have rapid reponses. Check other videos of the separed cymbals and hear the differences

While personally I LOVE my HHX Evolutions I've come to the conclusion that they all sound fucking fantastic. Now if only I was Neil Peart and could just ask for them and receive xD

I have two AAX x-plosion crashes, (14' and 16') but I really do like the sound of HHX crashes from what I've heard of them.

AA and AAXs are all rounders. The HH and HHX are for people looking for a specific higher EQ-like sound.

The AA and HH sound good together... Wouldn't mind them both in the same setup.

I had the HHX Evolution until it cracked, it was a very good cymbal! The AAX -X-Plosion crash is the best though!!

Love my HHX Legacy set (best cymbals I've ever heard in my opinion), but it's hard to beat the crazy sound of AAX.
