Thank you Prof John Steele. I had seen you around UNSW when I was at uni in the early noughties. 20 years on, I had decided to go back to study more maths and these VDOs help me understand much better than when I was first at uni.

I think we are missing -1, as the derivative of cos(z) is -sin (z) so the residue is coming 4*i* pi sinh(pi/2).

These videos are so much more helpful than my complex professor that I've started saying "zed" and "on" instead of "over." Many thanks for this series!

Sending big thank yous from Poland!! I have an exam at my University tomorrow and your videos on complex analysis are a life saver!!❤

z_n should be z_i in the formula right? The integral symbol would also more correctly be a contour I think. Either way thanks for all these lectures it is highly appreciated!

You should explain more steps and give more details instead of jumping to the answer right away

have you made this video for junior students or for your class mates?
the residue out side the contour is zero if you calculate because it's analytic!
please kindly remove this video!
Thanks!

What nonsense is this??? This is how you treat mathematics?? You better stop teaching with this improper experience. You're just ruining the basics of every student.
