Just finished reading, and I love it. My take-away from this story is that the Qu and the Star People were pretty much analogous, at different civilizational scales. When you look at it closely, are they even doing different things?

The Star People roamed around the galaxy, never finding any "intelligent" life, terraforming planets and introducing earth life, changing things on planets as they saw fit to suit their needs.

I think that the Qu were so much more advanced than the Star People that the Qu's actions on humanity are _completely equivalent_ to the Star People's actions to the inhabitants of the ecosystems that they terraformed. We are seeing two cases of being freely imposing their will without restriction on their surroundings because they do not recognize anything in their surroundings as sentient or something of any kind of moral consideration, it is just material to be shaped.

So the Qu are built to be genetically perfect and space nomads. There's limitations to communication with traveling in space, with no atmosphere. So I theorize the most reliable form of communication between space fairing creatures would be radiation emissions. Manipulating energy released like a highly advanced Morse code. Messages could travel ridiculously long distances in space. Beyond that under the assumption they've mastered space time manipulation for use of wormholes for instant travel, you could end up with a Bluetooth speaker situation. Message is blasted out to closest wormhole, bounced to closest to receiver, then projected out to be recieved by other Qu, all with highly specialized radiation sensitive sensory organs.

If you like Warhammer and/Or sort of All Tomorrows, i recommend the comic book: Prophet (Brandon Graham versions, not the original one) not really as hard as All Toms but it's still rather creative.

Basically 10k years in the future, humanity as we once knew it is extinct, replaces with a variety of transhuman species such as 4 armed stick people and ape men as well as a legion of clones based on the genetic makeup of an ancient earth Superhero(es). Yes superheroes once existed in this universe, but at this point in time they have grown into higher beings, god entities, mythic demigods, and planets.


Basically it's about the third rise of the 2 times collapsed Earthian empires, the clone legions awake and begin their conquest of the galaxy, led by a caste of psychic fetus things. The clones come in all shapes and sized such as a multi armed, winged, space ship that can shoot laser beams out of it's mouth or just a regular super soldier guy.


The empire is once again resisted by a rogue clone who leads an alliance of various alien races against the all encompassing Earth Empire.

The qu brought some dinosaurs to other worlds but did they even modify things on earth and leave them there, setting the rest of Earth's evolution on a course? All the humans they modified were pretty much kept to their own worlds, resulting in each new human race pretty much having its own planet.
