A special operation brigade of the Xinjiang military area command conducted live-fire drills in an unfamiliar northwest China highland area to test its combat skills.

The drills started at noon one day. A detachment of the special operation brigade was ordered to hurry off to the copter parking apron to board on an helicopter. When the copter arrived at the designated place, the officers and men were ordered to find a favorable terrain to land by parachuting. But copter did not find any suitable place to land until after it was hovering around again and again. Then, the scout team was ordered to move forward swiftly, trying to penetrate into the enemy occupied area. Snipers occupied the favorable positions, judging the wind direction and calculated the data based on the wind force and direction. Supported by the drone, the clearing-up team adopted the tactics of closing in, carrying sudden attack and swift withdrawing to destroy the enemy positions.

Amazing how the personal equipment and weapons have improved in a fairly short space of time, 20 years ago Chinese Infantry would have looked obsolete compared to US/British/Japanese/German etc troops but now the Chinese Infantry seem to be equipped with a lot more up to date kit and uniforms and weapons, similar to other modern forces.

Just use the rifle slings. Don't they know that they can fire while wearing rifle sling?
