I get everything I can at Aldi. Then I get the rest from local grocery store. I won't go to Walmart, lines are too long. 20 registers, 3 open.

The price isn’t as important as quality is. Aldi beats Walmart hands down. Budget matters, but you need to take into consideration the quality because that directly impacts your health.

I am not sure who did the math, but 2 lbs of rice for $1.44 at Walmart = $.72/lb, and 3 lbs of rice for $1.89 at Aldi = $.63/lb. Aldi is the winner.

You didn't do a full apples to apples comparison. There is cheaper bacon at Aldi. Also, for ground beef, you had round from Walmart and chuck from Aldi. For shredded cheese, why didn't you grab the 16oz bag from Aldi? They do have that same size. You also had gala versus honey crisp apples which definitely makes a difference.

I’ve noticed that if you have a Walmart near an Aldi, the Walmart prices are significantly lower to compete. My local Walmart milk is $1 higher than the Walmart in a nearby town that has a Aldi across the road.

Aldi saved my life when I was abroad in Australia. Side note I love Rachel's personality!

I recently stopped by an Aldi for eggs. I was a true beleiver thinking that WalMart was the best deal for my groceries. I used my WalMart app to compare the prices. Let me just say that Aldi is in fact cheaper than WalMart by a few cents. I am now an Adli believer!!! This video is like a confirmation from heaven lol.

You gotta check the weight on the bacon and spinach and other items and see what it costs per oz/gal/g. That's how you can tell the true value of each product.

Also a lot of Aldi's has less sugar and salt! And fewer ingredients

She's not comparing price per ounce.
You really can't count the chicken. Because name brand is always much more expensive.

By the way, amazon is deceptively expensive for many products as well.

Watching this in 2023 and ugh I wish either of these prices were still the case! Double for most of the products now!

We are loyal Aldi shoppers. They don’t put artificial dyes in their products and I have a child who can’t have number dyes. They also pay their employees much better as well as having good benefits. It’s all around a company I can get behind.

Aldi wins because the quality and customer service is awesome. Walmart is okay for filling in the gaps of what isn't at Aldi, but shopping at Aldi is a *much* more pleasant experience.

Oh, and Aldi has phenomenal prices on laundry soap and other household cleaners!

I shop both!! Some times Aldi cheaper, some times W. M is cheaper!

You can’t just compare price. You also have to take into consideration the size of the package. It’s price per lb or per oz that you need to pay attention to. The Aldi bacon was 1 lb for $3.79. The Walmart bacon was $3.24 for a 12 oz package. Aldi is the better deal per oz.

I was watching the Chicago live stream about a year ago. And George mentioned Aldi. Family of 4 (3 at the time) and bought 2 full gallons bags of groceries. Eggs, Keto bread, chicken, a few types of cookies for the kid. Butter, some other meats. Few other stuff. After we checked out I thought it would be $340+. When it came out to $176 I was floored. Haven’t shopped for my primary products at Walmart since.

Your math is wrong about the rice. Aldi is way cheaper.1.44 $ /2 = 0.72 $ per pound for Walmart. 1.89$ /3 = 0.63 $ a pound for Aldi.

I love Aldi's! I feel there produce and other items are much better quality.

I LOVE Aldi - my primary place to shop! We do love Costco too and are renewing our membership to stock up on favorite items throughout the year.
