2024 Elections | 'I'm still MK party leader': Jabulani Khumalo

MK founder Jabulani Khumalo maintains that he is the registered party leader of Umkhonto Wesizwe. He was speaking to the media on the sidelines of the official opening of the IEC's Results Operations Centre. Khumalo, who was expelled from Umkhonto we Sizwe recently, has approached the courts to have the IEC's registration of former President Jacob Zuma declared invalid, unlawful and set aside. Earlier this month, the IEC in a statement, confirmed that the party leader was Zuma and said it does not involve itself in the internal affairs of political parties.
