I grew up in Christchurch and the minute I left late 2000's knew I never wanted to come back and been living and working abroad in Africa, Europe and now Asia where am permanently. The way you showcase the city makes even me want to come back! Great video - there is much to like about this city again, even if the recovery is so painfully Things are progressing, and a great hop off for tourists to spend a few days. Christchurch is the gateway to the magic of the South Island, without doubt - and much is available locally outside the Queenstown tourist hub. Love the video.

The street art looks gorgeous, especially the penguin 🐧. The weather is like Melbourne or The Netherlands: 4 seasons in one day 🌦. That evening walk is beautiful, reminds me of Kangaroo Point in Brissie. Even driving is a gift over there with the scenery around 🏞. Oh and by the way, I booked my first trip by air since Australia in January 2020. I'm going to Tenerife in October 2021, so happy to finally travel again 😁! Thank you, thank you, thank you for these great recommendations! You made our layover trip to Christchurch perfect! Riverside is something I wish my hometown had (and that Dosa was indeed excellent). Unknown Chapter had great coffee (according to Erin…good hot chocolate for me!). And the Tramway is the best way to see the city. It was fascinating to see how much the city has progressed even in the short time from with this was made. Thank you again, Phoebe!
