I don't know why, but this video made me cry, when I realised that me and my future husband can't actually give a metric to our love for each other. Tbh..when I met my love..(going through a hard time rn..hope we still together tomorrow) I was cold and closed off..overtime it felt like I couldn't stay cold and closed off to her because unknowingly to her..everything she did warmed me inside and a few weeks after we initially met..I asked "hey..do you want to do this with me?" And we go together. For me, it’s the content of their character, capacity for loyalty, knowing without a doubt they can be trusted, etc. A person’s generosity is a part of their character and in one way will show they value you, but receiving “gifts” won’t make me fall in love with them. Sometimes those transactions are made until the sought after person is caught, then feelings can wane for both parties. And what happens when someone else comes along offering better gifts?
