"Enterprise was a terrible show" Hold my beer ...

After 14 years ENT actually looks like super canon to me.

"Mr Discovery Writer....I have the Star Trek universe continuity book here". "Ah great" (throws it out wibdow) "there, that's that taken care of"

Their shuttlebay also contains atmosphere with a force field. The old Enterprise had to depressureize its bay whenever a shuttle took off and repressureize it after it landed.

Being interviewed to write for Discovery: CBS:"have you watched star trek tos, TNG, ds9, voyager or enterprise?". Writer:"No, but I know they have ships, pew pew guns and transporters." CBS:"you're hired".

Perhaps Discovery is just a holodeck simulation made by Professor Moriarty (who himself is in a holodeck simulation). The final episode of Discovery, titled: 'Ship in a bottle, in a bottle' will reveal this. I'm also guessing CBS will read this post and turn it into reality.

To be fair... it's completely logical for Starfleet to erase any records that are remotely related to Burnham in any capacity. Would YOU want people to remember Michael Burnham? Of course not.

most potential telepath in the galaxy:
"yes telepathy across light years is impossible"

Vulcan, with extremely subtle telepathy:
"we mind melded across a *THOUSAND* light years"

Okay that one actually got me.

I feel like Picard's "It is WRONG!" should be followed up with Sisko's "But it's REAL!".

Why not just set Discovery like 100 years after Voyager.

"Discovery was deleted from Starfleet records" is the possibly the laziest, most blatant, cheap plot device EVER written into a show. That doesn't excuse the canonical mistakes, it just exemplifies the utter burning sewage that is STD

1:24 Janeway's been hitting the helium a little hard.

Discovery would work fine as a post-dominion war show. A war weary federation unable to sustain another conflict. A captain with PTSD sent behind the lines to wreck havoc. Gorn instead of Klingon, slipstream drive instead of mushrooms, phase cloaks instead of invisibility screens. Most problems just disappear.

The issue with using a gravity well to bend light, is that the amount of gravity required to bend light, would pull everything within an AU straight towards the cloaked ship.

Not to mention that Starfleet ships have been able to detect gravitational forces since the NX class at least. So a Klingon ship generating one would be pretty easy to detect with sensors alone.

TBH, STD should be set after the event of DS9 or Nemesis, the era where Starfleet start to realize the benefit of militarization programs thus cause the conflict in the core ethic of the Federation.

I am a big Trekkie and have watched all of TOS. When I saw that the series was based on a Mutiny even after TOS said there never had been one in history, I knew I was in for a series without a regard for was right.

I wish the Discovery crew would turn into salamanders as a result of their shenanigans.

All of these continuity mistakes can be solved with one solution. And that is to acknowledge that STD is not Canon and never will be.
