The German guy is cheating quite a bit by imitating animal sounds instead of naming the official onomatopoeia. In German, a pig goes 'grunz', a cow goes 'muh', a sheep goes 'bäh/mäh', a chicken goes 'gack', a rooster goes 'kikeriki', a mosquito goes 'summ' and a horse goes 'wieh'/'wieher'.

As an American I’ve never said “bark bark” I’ll say the dog “barked” but I generally don’t hear that as the actual sound. “Woof woof” is the one I hear most often.

In the subtitles for the french word for sheep, it's actually "mouton" not "montant". Montant means amount not sheep even though they sound quite similar. Also, I think Bridget might have gotten confused on the pig one, I've never really heard a French person use Oink Oink, rather we use a similar one to the german guy.

Just so that english speakers understand: as a child I learned "ouaf" for the dogs and "groin" for pigs (ToT so ugly! It's actually the name of their noses idk how you call this in english but a pig's nose is a groin in french")

In France as a kid I learned the sound "cot cot cot" for the hen / chicken... The girl is actually imitating the sound instead of saying the sound we hear in the language and the onomatopeya we created (and yes for dogs its "ouaf" not "wouf", and for the pig "groin groin" i dont get the sound she made 😅)

Actually, in the US we make the sound "woof woof" for a dog. Bark or barking is just the name we give to what the dog does when making the sound. So, for example, if someone asked "what is that dog doing?" You could answer, "the dog is barking." And if they asked, "what does that barking sound like?" You could answer, "woof woof."
