This year marks a decade of Apple Watch. In 2014, Apple introduced the very first generation of the Apple Watch, with coverage from the one and only Ben Clymer. In a landscape of objectively clunky designs, the Apple Watch stood out, in typical Apple fashion, as being something different. Last week, Apple introduced the Apple Watch Series 10, and we were on the ground to cover the event.

Since last week's "It's Glowtime" keynote, TanTan Wang has spent a few days with the new Apple Watch Series 10 and the new colorway of the Ultra 2. Here are some of his key takeaways of the new models.

Considering Apple Sells more watches than most of the Swiss watch groups combined. It makes a ton of sense to cover new models.

Good to see Hodinkee look at it from a style perspective. The first image with the rare link bracelet, which no reviewer ever talks about, really separates this review from the tech reviewers like MKBHD and Dave2D. The tech reviewers focus too much on function. The apple watch sets the standard for style and craftsmanship in a way no other watch maker comes close.

From all these dumb takes in the comments it seems most watch enthusiasts don't work out? Lol it makes total sense that a watch channel would cover a watch that you would wear when you're active... That's like wearing my James Cameron deep sea while I'm lifting weights or running 😂 y'all need to get over yourselves...much bigger things going on in the world sorry lol

I love tech. Every new iPhone has features that interest me. Huge Apple fan. So naturally I had to try out the Apple Watch a few years ago and see what the hype was all about.

For my use case, it is really pointless. I always have my phone on me so notifications are right in my hand or pocket. I dont need to lose weight, dont run, only work out heavy lifts so apple watch can't really count reps for me, etc. Sleep tracking is one nice feature but not enough for me to spend $400+ on an Apple watch and have a gadget on my wrist. Maybe one day ill buy a used $100 apple watch just for sleep tracking.

Sorry to say but even me as a 25 year old, I much prefer a traditional automatic watch (Seiko SNXS79). Super classy and will never go out of style. Not to mention no need to charge it every night (although I do have to adjust the time every 2 weeks because it runs slow)

Glad the Apple Watch exists (mom loves it and that Series 10 Gold Titanium looks so nice), but not for me
