Monolith Soft's Nintendo Switch 2 Game CLOSER Than Expected?!

People talking about these PC handhelds being “Switch (2) killers” really overestimate the target audience, which is not your average family or gamer.

I known the Switch 2 was comin soon, yet since November, got almost 10 new Switch games, and 2 more on preorder, and have another 2 or 3 plan to preorder as well, one being Xenoblade X, and got 3 coming in today.

Could you imagine. We finally get the Switch 2 direct and they show some trailers for games that will be available on Switch 2 at launch. We get the final XCXDE trailer (the Coming Soon section on the Japanese site makes me think there is one more) and it ends with "And coming 2026 Xenoblade Chronicles X2". Is it pure cope? Sure, but I can dream.

Oh I think it’s a safe bet we’ll see their next game this year. Nintendo has loved having them show off the power of a new console and this will be the strongest one they’ve ever had. If I were them I’d be sending developers to Monolithsoft constantly to help finish their next game in time.

Good point about bespoke versions of DQ XII being a possibility for supporting the original Switch, there is enough customers that will buy it to justify the development cost.

I think Monolith's next game could show up this summer in their big direct, I expect that direct to announce things that are years off, Summer 2017 they announced Pokemon and MP4 for the Switch, though I do think Monolith's game will be out before 2027.

PC handhelds will never be switch killers. Rather people want to admit it or not, Nintendo just has that magic touch that other companies, in my opinion, have going that other companies don't have.

It’s rare I play on PS5 cuz I can take switch games on my commute. It’s just for exclusive games which they haven’t really released much on that front.

I don't think Monolith softs next game will come out before 2026/7 since they only just started to recruit for Team 1 (xenoblade team) for another Takahashi project.

DQ XI on 3ds was nothing like the switch and ps4 versions. For dqxii, it would be the same game with different resolution and fps, that's pretty much it.

It would be hilarious if Xenoblade Chronicles X2 is in development exclusively for Switch 2- and save data from Xenoblade Chronicles X definitive edition gives perks.
