Transformer Differential Relay testing and how to create slope on Omicron kit for RET 620 relay.
and also show how to create slope on omicron kit.
Transformer details are
SN [KVA] = 25000
V1N [KV] = 33KV
V2N[KV] = 6.9KV
Zk[%] = 10.00
Vector Group = Dyn11
CT-HV = 600/1A
CT-LV=2500/1A

Relay setting are
ID low set = 30%
ID high set = 1200%
Slope 1 = 30%
End section 2 = 150 %
Slope 2 = 100%

Note for RET Abb relay end section 1 is 50%.

Great video upon RET670 testing through Omicron test kit (Diff Characteristic). Here some parameters missing to set in relay test kit viz. Idiff >>, Idiff>. If pick up value less than .3, then you have to set accordingly. Also after drawing curve in characteristics, it is not reflecting same as in test module. Here some video skipped. However it has given good reference for testing. If this clarity is given in upcoming videos, it will really help working engineer like me.

Thanks for step by step guide to RET 670 Diff testing through Omicron Test kit specially shot test and search test. Kindly review Bias formulae of ABB RET 670. As per manual, it is mentioned maximum of individual current referred to Primary. please share other make relays Bias formula for preparing exact slope characteristic.

Great Video Sir!!! How can one test line differential relay using the differential operating characteristic module. I have checked and have seen on the protected object that the protected equipment options are only transformer, Generator, Motor and Busbar.

Here RET615 is taken as relay. For 670 series, correction factor is not required and all values we can change.

Sir, sir we replaced the 2 phase old CT of 20MVA PTR with new ones and during the stability test we observe double(0.4+0.4=0.8)current in 1phase, , and all the CT secondary polarity is ok, and then we review the relay setting vector group is Dyn5 instead of Dyn11 please explain how vector group of PTR will be affected CT secondary current
