Marijuana is better than pills... Unless they're vitamins.

For years cops mostly never took my pot or said anything. One time when FL was dry, i got busted with tiny bit and tiny pipe and they tried making big deal out of it. Come to find out later I had stash of half oz in my trunk I forgot about and so I was happy to find it after the fact and cops never found it, so I enjoyed. This was long befote any law change and FL has always been a pot state.
Pot is my only med most my life as my back is curved with rods support. Regardless of system laws no one can tell me what to do with my body.

Marijuana is not alcohol. The preponderance of the research shows marijuana consumption is NOT a significant cause of auto accidents.

In 2015, the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, found that while drunken driving dramatically increased the risk of getting into an accident, there was no evidence that using marijuana heightened that risk.

In fact, the report found that drivers who had recently consumed marijuana were no more likely to crash than drivers who were not under the influence of any alcohol or drugs.

The law has within it the ability to use cannabis at work (w additional approval) which means driving home within hours of cannabis use. This means if you can't go a whole workday without medicating at work then you are probably not likely get up and get to work without having to medicate before you drive to work also. (there is nothing in the law anywhere that suggests cannabis users should use public transportation and not drive themselves)

This is where that important KNOWN information that we're trying to seek...
Is trooper Steve hiding or totally ignorant to the most important part of this question.
OK, we know what DUI and DWI is, so the only point of the question is...
1. What is the punishment for having what ammounts of cannabis in your position if you do not have a medical marijuana card?
2. And a much more important question is, as a medical marijuana card holder I get conflicting information from different dispensaries so the assumption that we as patients know exactly what the rules are, is an ignorant assumption.

every one of the over half of a million registered FL medical marijuana card holders is likely using cannabis every single day. It does not restrict you from having a driver's license to have a medical marijuana card so, the question remains completely untouched to any type of reasonable satisfaction, What are the different deals with having a medical marijuana card and a driver's license in the state of Florida??? can you drive after using cannabis within 1 hour of? within 6 hours of? within 24 hours of? within 3 days of? within a week of medicating?
They're absolutely has to be some type of police trained perimeters to dealing with the legal side of cannabis in Florida beyond the patient getting home with his cannabis and never leaving the house again until he runs out of medication and stays out of medication long enough for it to leave his bloodstream. (around 3 weeks?)
So here's all of the questions that were asked of this news station and trooper Steve, number one what are the charges for a legal possession, illegal use, DWI? Number 2. What are the exceptions or allowances past these charges to those with registered medical access & what are the perimeters to those exceptions/allowances from the perspective of the police department, because the police very very very often interpret the laws differently than citizens do so It is extremely important for us to hear the police verbalize their attitude about the subject which is a cop out of weddings here.
These are the questions we have and the reasons why we have the questions.
The news could be weenie about it and say we're only going to answer one side of this question the legal side or the questions on the illegal side but there's no good reason not to address both sides and neither side was appropriately addressed, so, trooper Steve, stop with the cop out and please address some form of some degree of the question.
