How to configure motion detection and setup motion zones

You can configure your DVR / NVR system to record motion detection events and setup custom zone detection.

Is there something wrong with my NEW Lorex??? Because the clear area/zone or deselected area/zone still detects motion... regardless if it’s red or any color I set it to... in other word, the region setting doesn’t work, it will still detect every single region within the camera zone, which is annoying and I don’t want that.

Can this be set up with the software named "flir..client" or does it need to be setup at the NVR level with a monitor attached to it?

I have done this so many times with my system and it does not work. Spoke with the customer service dept and they are close to useless. Very frustrating considering the price I paid for my system

Ok so on the app the areas that I WANT detecting motion are the dark purpley-grey areas? The app doesn't really specify.

Seriously for what I paid for this Lorex system $650 you would think Lorex would have zero flaws in its motion area notifications. In my option the feature is worthless. A $150 6 channel off brand eBay system will do the same thing.

I get a bunch of motion detection at night when little bugs fly around the cameras. They are attracted to the infrared back light. Is there any way to filter this out?

Everytime I set up regions after about couple hours or so it doesn't detect motion anymore. When I leave it as default for this, the camera records only motion just fine, any thoughts?

I need this for the current D481 With deterrence. I’m about ready to lose it. I only have red, yellow and blue. So the cars driving up are still setting off content alerts.

Sorry, but when I saw the video snapshot showing a "Car" and a "Person", I believed it to be a tutorial on how to setup the system for that and not a general overview of motion.

I just got my device and I find it completely stupid you have to hook up a monitor and a mouse even when you have a web interface. You should be able to do everything through the web interface.
