I don't see much of a difference, I guess they both achieve the same.
The "noob" style is more verbose, but more clear.
The "pro" style is shorter, but less explicit.

If you work alone, or in a team with multiple (senior) frontend developers, the shorter version is probably a bit better.
In a mixed team, or where you have to expect that less (frontend) experienced devs will have to maintain the project later, I'd prefer 2nd version, for at least from point of the next person (not the original dev) looking at the code.
It can quite exhausting to have to lookup documentation for some of them when trouble shooting or more likely slight demand on changing the existing layout or having to add another page/tab/... with similar layout.
In both cases, I'd never argue about, but would configure a css formatter if it has options in one or another way.

Never forget: coding styles matter for the reader of the code, not the writer!
