I met my bestfriend in 2005 - we were just kids. She was living overseas and I was living in Australia.

I didn’t see her again until 2014 - and we only had 3 days to catch up with each other. I knew I loved her then and would spend the next two years chasing her, watching her get hurt by other guys who only wanted to use her, watched her cry, get angry - I was just a fly on the wall. I remember asking her so many times to be my girlfriend but she kept saying no until....

2016 - April, just after my birthday. I asked her again and she said yes! I flew overseas to see her and we spent and cherished every second of the 30 days we had together.

Fast forward to now - we’re married, we’ve got plans for the future, planning kids, a house and she’s moving countries so that we can finally live together.

Never give up on love if you feel it in your heart. If it’s meant to be, it will be. No matter the distance, if love is true, no matter the time, if love is true, love will always find a way.

Update July 2022 - we are living together in Australia now. We have a house together. Have a nice garden. Might even adopt a dog to expand our family. Future plans are underway. And yes, still madly in love. She is meant for me… and I am meant for her 🥰

I've known this song for 8 years. Two years ago my best friend since high school became my girlfriend and we had the most amazing year together. But now we broke up. I just can't stop crying listening to this song again.

I moved to the United States in the 6th grade. I was 10. We met in elementary (sorta). We were in the same class but we barely spoke because I was EXTREMELY shy and covered my face with my hair all the time. He liked me and made so many efforts to talk to me. But in my eyes, I was a burden to everyone I was around due to some previous bullying. Anyways, after we graduated, I left without really saying goodbye to anyone but my teachers and we lost contact.

3 years later and he found me on Facebook. I was in a relationship (an emotionally abusive one at that). He didn't really say anything until that relationship ended. We spoke via messenger and at that time, I grew a lot of confidence from the friends I've been hanging around with. SOOOO I asked him to skype and we talked for like 2 hours. (This was a little after New Years) He was one of those people who said "My New Years Resolution is to not have a New Years Resolution." Anyways, the very next day, he messaged me saying he wanted to change that and make it to be more outgoing. Thus, admitting he liked me and has liked me since the 6th grade.

We decide to talk and go on a few dates to the mall. We dated for about 6 months but I broke it off. I know. I'm horrible! He was absolutely perfect when I think back on it. But he became my bestfriend and talked to me through a lot of hard/tragic events that I ended up having to deal with. (Including that abusive relationship I ended going back to. Again, I know... I'm such an idiot.)

A few more years go by, he's had enough. We argued about something stupid, and he says he thinks we should go our separate directions. And soon after that, I realized I missed him so much, and wanted him back. A couple months later, I saw him at this convention. He said hey and joked with me as if nothing had ever happened. I went along with it...

Well he ended up messaging me and I apologized immediately. And we started hanging out as friends with other friends. My bestfriend even told me she was going to hit me if I didn't go for him. She COMPLETELY approved. And well, I did...

Now I'm happy to say that we've been together for going on 3 years! And we're taking the huge step to move out of the Country together in about 2 weeks. A lot of people doubt our relationship because its such a BIG step. A frequent question I get a lot is "How do you know he;s the one?" Trust me. I've put this man through hell and he's continued to stick to me like cement glue. I've given him countless of reasons to leave me and he's never thought about doing so. I've seen/heard him defend me (even though he doesn't know I know). He's helped me care for my family and has brought me closer to God without knowing he was doing so. He goes far and beyond my standards of a man.

This song is going to play at our wedding. And I plan on making a secret music video to surprise him with during the reception. It would be an absolute honor is Jason would preform when the time comes. But even just the song is enough.

My advice to anyone in a similar situation, go for it. As my boyfriend says, "All you need is 10 seconds of complete blind And great things will happen."
