I recently bought the G1 tv series and G1 movie on DVD. I finally got a chance to see what I was missing. This Kup looks alot better.

If the paint under the translucent chest of the original had been a lot lighter, it might have been a lot better. I do love the shiny plastic for the new chest, almost a marble look. The colors are just closer now too. It's worth the 2nd purchase.

Are there other figures in this line that have more accurate or better paint apps than the normal releases?

That old Autobot isn't returning just yet. I want to hear his war story and the Universal Greeting as well. Fans but the original one and glue it his arms and legs to keep it on. And the Buzzworthy Bumblebee one like the movie the punk left the piece out not in. He is very very awesome nice work.

I like how the the older figure (the one with the clear windshield) looks like a younger version of Kup, while the newer one looks like the Kup we love :D
Ohh.. and one thing.. you said that you will change the wheels on them.. is it possible to change the back ones too? they are inside of the legs..

This repaint should have been the original one to be released. They just took another $24 for thr cartoon accuracy.

Pretty sure the "wear" marks on his window are meant to emulate the sun's glare.

I have the SS86 Kup and that will do it for me. He's not one of my favorites so I can pass on him this time around.
