Motorola Moto G hands-on

The Motorola Moto G is the premium Android for the everyman according to Motorola. Packing a 4.5-inch 720p display and a PPI of 329, it looks great on paper, quad-core internals and all. What makes this a phone for the every man is its price -- just £139 for the 8GB version.

I'm surprised at people's reaction upon seeing the price. Have you forgot just 7 years ago (pre-smartphone era), mobile phones with £139 tag were considered godly high end phone? With rapid modern techs evolving and cheap labors from China, aren't this is the price range we deserve for all new phones?

I don't think it is ugly. It is a nice basic functional design. It will be beautiful to those out there on tight budgets, who really want a smart phone, but can't afford the likes of a Galaxy.

Google - Motorola has completley changed android (IN A GREAT WAY) Mid Range Specs - Beastly Performance! Amazing. Almost seems like its Vertically Integrated . Oh Wait! IT IS! They make the hardware and the software! No wonder it runs like iOS, its VERTICALLY INTEGRATED! Amazing.

The display looks good. I was worried it would be sub-par.
I'm still eager to see photo and video samples, and speed tests against other phones.

Does anyone know if this phone takes Mini or Micro SIM cards?

Interesting piece of device but real fight is b/w nexus 4 and moto g at his price range

How does this phone stock up to the Nexus 4, the specs are lower, but it seems more optimised for lower end apps and such
