Something a little different for the Halloween season!
Teddy Roosevelt once wrote about a unique story of horror that he heard from an old trapper who lived on the frontier. The details of this story resonate with those of similar encounters occurring in the modern-day wilderness. Cryptid encounters also seem to play a role in a small number of bizarre missing person cases, so the implications of this story can be far-reaching. I hope everyone enjoys it.

In the Philippines they have a bigfoot-type creature called the kaprè, usually seen up in the trees in remote jungle areas. However there are certain areas where the local people refer to giant bats as kaprè as well. And of course, it’s only the jungle area people who believe, and the city people just laugh and regard it as myth or fairy tales.

I have worked and lived in this area all of my life and there are still Bigfoot encounters in this area..

Bears have been known to walk on 2 feet. Sometimes they get stuck in traps and have to literally bite their paw off to escape. That being said I do believe that bigfoot is out there somewhere. Thanks for the content. Just subscribed

bigfoot prints would be totally, completely different than bear prints. bear prints are more like a dog, with claws. bigfoot prints are an ape. completely different

Several people have asked where this story takes place, it is in The Beaverhead Mountains that separate Idaho and Montana which separate the wisdom and the salmon forks as Baumen mentions in the tale.

Fun fact: Teddy Roosevelt had a daughter named Alice, who was 17 when her father became president. She was a rebellious teenager way ahead of her time. She smoked cigarettes, gambled, drove at excessive speeds, had a pet snake, and bluntly spoke her mind about anything and everything. She was politically opinionated and would often butt in on her father’s meetings in the White House. Despite her uncouth behavior, she was quite popular socially. When a reporter once asked Teddy to comment on his daughter’s behavior, he responded: “I can do one of two things. I can be President of the United States, or I can control Alice. I cannot possibly do both.” 🤣👍🏻 … Alice lived to be 96 years old and passed away in 1980.
