The animated franchise Scooby-Doo has been entertaining kids across the world since 1969. The talking Great Dane Scooby and his teenage pals Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, and Shaggy Rogers have been solving mysteries for close to 50 years.

The TV cartoon has gone through various reboots in the past and more recently, it has been made into some live-action movies. There is no doubt that Scooby-Doo has left a lasting legacy in pop culture and the history of television.

But if you ever rewatched the show as an adult, there just might be things you notice about the beloved cartoon that you didn’t notice before. Here are some things you only notice about Scooby-Doo as an adult.

The reason we never see Fred when he goes off with the girls is because the show is based on Scooby and Shaggy, so we see them more often.

Given that many of the villains were actively trying to kill them, it really doesn't matter if they were truly supernatural or not, running is still the best option.

I don't usually comment, but I want to here because I grew up with Scooby. What I kept thinking as I watched this was, Its a Cartoon! Yeah it's fun to watch, and I love Scooby. But why take it seriously? They were teens who didn't have to work. Often they were going somewhere, like a concert or the school dance when they came across a mystery. It's not like they were searching for adventures. And the theme song? Scooby was always reluctant to go sleuthing. That's the point of the song. As for the canned laughter? Again who cares? Sitcoms use it and none are filmed before a live audience now. Back then some cartoons had laugh tracks too.

Something I had not really paid much attention to, before now, is how nicely done most of the backgrounds are in this show. They’re much more detailed and textured than the animated characters.

Someone put some care and talent into these.
