The only thing more pleasurable than listening to this for the thousandth time is being there when someone else hears it - and loves it - for the first time.
That happened to me a few years back when I was giving this 16-year-old kid a lift on this misty-rainy late afternoon back to his house and I could see in my periphery that he was digging the tunes .. it was a mellow rainy-day shuffle I'd been cobbling together with some Jim James, John Martyn, Massive Attack to this ☝and half way through this one he cracked and said "What *is* this?" That's a wonderful moment.
