Apparently, the context of the scene was different in Japanese. In the original Japanese version, they aren't flirting with Ryuji and instead just offer to buy him drinks because they think he's gay. He's only freaking out because he's not old enough to drink.
EDIT: So I came to learn that I was mistaken. The Creatures also sort of flirt with Ryuji in the Japanese version.

I don't care that they are gay men being stereotypically feminine, some gay men in the community are like this but my problem with this is the fact that they're approaching a minor and making him clearly uncomfortable, the stereotype of gay men being predatory is much more harmful.

Whether you find the scene comical or offensive, not many people talk about characters like Lala-chan that actually represent the cross-dresser community (would have loved to have Lala as a confidant btw).

Yet a little joke still creates lots of controversy; people should appreciate the actual good characters, and learn to have a laugh once in a while.

Entire fanbase is definitely a stretch, While the negative feedback is understandable (personally don’t care much about it), you are in the “Red light District” portion of the city wherein scenarios like that aren’t too uncommon.

Im a gay guy and I do find it funny, but I do see how people can be mad about it because the thought that all gay people are predators is a genuine problem but I mean at least the fanbase got their heart in the right place 💜

Im gay and i dont think the scene is THAT bad ( is definitly bad représentation but it doesnt change anything to the game ) but looking it back i really hate how often you have those scene where ryuji is constantly being harassed, its really nit picky but it kinda feels insulting to his character after what he went through with kamoshida, they did my boy dirty
