This video talks about the easiest way to understand worldviews that we can call the “missiological approach” that categorizes cultures into 3 dichotomies or paradigms: Innocence-Guilt, Honour-Shame and Power-Fear. Some would place the emphasis on the negative side and call these "guilt cultures" and "shame cultures" and "fear cultures."

QUESTIONS FOR GROUP DISCUSSION:

1. INNOCENCE-GUILT WORLDVIEW. Which of these ten points did you resonate with? Which ones were you unsure about? What other features from this worldview would you add?

2. HONOUR-SHAME WORLDVIEW PARADIGM. Which of these ten points did you resonate with? Which ones were you unsure about? What other features from this worldview would you add? How can you identify these in another culture?

3. POWER-FEAR WORLDVIEW PARADIGM. Which of these ten points did you resonate with? Which ones were you unsure about? What other features from this worldview would you add? How can you identify these in another culture? If this is foreign to you, can you make some analogous practices or superstitions from your culture?

4. Do you agree that every culture has some aspect of each worldview paradigm? Why or why not? Do you think that each culture has one predominant worldview paradigm?

5. What do you think of the hypothesis of how each culture has a mixture of the three worldview paradigms?

I wonder in shame base culture if that is still true as a result of globalization. More are isolated than ever before
