The more dangerous a job is, the higher the pay should be. Just my opinion

I'm guessing those are non union rates cause I know for a fact that those averages are way off. An apprentice makes about as much as the "top" rate with overtime included. If you're a journeyman you're definitely making well over 100k without overtime.

I’ve been to the top of two Bay Area bridges on private tours and it was amazing! I was hardly nervous at all. I loved being up there with a panoramic view. It would be a bucket list item for me to go to the top of the Brooklyn or GW bridges.

71k a year is way off. That's about half what a bridge painter out of local 806 working year round makes. And we deserve every penny.

i worked for a billboard company, i was working the top of a 120 footer, 12 feet below me on a five foot wide catwalk was my coworker..I was talking to him as he stepped back to eyeball the sections, he walked off backwards, his eyes looking at me..back then we didn't wear any safety gear nor were we required to..They say he died instantly, i turned away..Iwas 25 years old, he was 32..luckily it doesn't haunt me..

The pay scale is absolutely ridiculous even on the high end $71 thousand is a crime! A friend of mine makes that for climbing four radio towers a year.
