DEMO NOTES/GEAR INFO - Today I obviously used the Princeton Reverb, but the only pedal I used was the Browne Amplification Protein. I think it's important to remember this is a brand new speaker that is gonna take some time to break in, especially when it comes to the low end when driving the amp more with the mids. I primarily used two guitars - Fender Super Thinline Deluxe Telecaster with and the Fender JV TL62B Tele both with @LollarPickups ( lollartron and special t ). All sounds are from the amp unless you see the pedal on the screen and it was mic'd by the Shure SM57 going straight into the @UniversalAudio apollo.

This amp, and the Deluxe Reverb have always been screaming for a Mid control. It's cool that Sweetwater is providing this option for their customers.

Oh man, the Jazzmaster sounded soo good here. I loved it. Shows to go ya the subjectivity in tone. Overall all, sounded awesome, but when the JM came out, man, I loved it.

Super easy fixes/mods with the connections. This makes me want the mid dial on my '68RI. You're right, you can't get that kind of break up at that volume level. If that's the mid switch allowing that, wow.

Awesome demo. Thanks!

5:09 Great test — I’d be really curious to compare this against boosting the mids with an EQ pedal. And man nothing compares to the PR tremolo.

Fantastic sounds, and playing as ever. Definitely a great mod that one that makes a huge impact and offering at no extra cost and with warranty, to be fair, is awesome! The single coil tele and Jazzmaster especially shined on this one for me (but thats subjective, I get it, and it all sounded great they were just my favs)

Wonderful playing man. That last tele was magical. Love Sweetwater putting their touch on these.

Yes, upgrading the speaker cable is a must.

I've found that replacing the ceramic speaker with a Jensen Alnico (P-10 or P-12) makes a world of difference with the Princeton and Deluxe reissues.

Sounded very good. I been using a 68 deluxe reissue for gigs. Would the princeton be able to be gigged with a mic and have enough head room. The weight is the biggest advantage. The one that i would like to see a review on is the sweetwater princeton with the 12 inch speaker.

I really have minimal interest in a mid control or upgraded tremolo. Ive never used tremolo on a gig. And id rather see a celestion. I liked your dr z 100x better and would spend more money on an amp that uses quality components and not have to worry about it.

They removed the 6.8k Resistor (R52) and installed a 10k or 25k A Taper (Audio / Log) potentiometer. -- Check out Psionic Audio Princeton Reverb Reissue videos for more reliability tips.

for $1500, you shouldn't have to upgrade jack squat. Garbage speaker cable? WRONG! Crappy reverb tank? WRONG! This is why Fender will never get my business again save for some 351 picks and maybe a guitar cable.
