Sometimes you forget how awesome these things are.
Guitar, amp, volume. Happy days! This is just the standard reissue amp on the end of Mick's Gibson Custom ’57 Goldtop.

The cranked sound at the end put the biggest smile on my face. Like when your mcdonald's is actually piping hot. That kind of happy.

I am a Marshall guy to death, but Fender amps do sound really really cool when you can turn them up and let the creamy distortion come through!

The tone on 10 with the feedback is something you still can't get from amp sims. The feeling of playing a loud amp can never be replaced.

My neighbors liked it so much they threw a brick through my window so they could hear it better!

Ive had my Deluxe Reverb since the mid 60's and never put it to 10. Maybe today

Loved your sentiment about playing loud to practice playing loud.

INCREDIBLY useful short. If you're hearing out ideas, I'd love to see this exact format done for a few other classic amps. Thanks for posting!

I never get to crank mine very often but it is something special when I do!

Fender amps are notorious for having that sweet spot Usually somewhere between six and eight on the volume, there’s nothing like it, just glorious

It’s not that often I get to play mine that loud but every time I do I’m reminded why I own one. It’s glorious

The top end doesn’t stop sounding shrill until it’s cranked. Lovely!

I have a '64 handwired with a Jensen alnico in it. running it flat out with a Les Paul is heaven!

Can always use a 12au7 in the phase inverter. You'll lose some of the PI gain but keep all preamp gain at less than 50% of volume.

To me, the best sounding amp on the market. Better than boutique amps, two rocks.. Etc

Nigel: "You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You’re on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you’re on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?"
Marty: "put it up to eleven?"

Haha the 7 was exactly the one where I thought "now we're talking!" Great sounds when you push it.

Thr guitarist in my old band always played between 6-7, it gave him enough room get extra nasty and in your face with the distortions and fuzzes 👍

I had an actual’65 deluxe in the late 90s, sold it to a boutique shop. It sounded just like ZZ Top La Grange when you played it through that amp.

I was an idiot to sell it.
