Chinese watches are getting better and better, I have a seagull 1963 which I love, a Phoibos 007 ceramic, which is a total sub clone, but has 300m water resistance, ceramic bezel, and a good miyota movement. 250 dollars. I'm a huge microbrand fan, if your careful you can get a lot of watch for the money. Love the channel, keep it up.

I bought this watch in black before I even watched your review.

I absolutely love it. It is my first deviation from automatic Seiko divers in my watch collection, but I have zero regrets. It has become my offical beater watch for work.

I however did not like the bracelet; I chose to purchase a Strapcode Super Oyster bracelet and the watch was instantly more comfortable and attractive as a result.

Chinese? $500?? How about a Steinhart Ocean Premium 300m for $540 all same or better specs including better bracelet and see thru case back. German engineering with a Swiss movement. It’s bang for buck is unsurpassed for a Swiss Made masterpiece.

Now that I've had mine for a while...I love it. It's so cool. The use of 5s and the font on the bezel give it a Nascar badassness. I will disagree. This wheres bigger than my SKX011j. Noticeably.

Better buy IMO is Glycine Combat Sub. Swiss brand with a real history. Sapphire glass and ETA movement. You can pick them up these days for around $400

Seiko could make a similar watch and price it at $500-600 and it would sell faster than they could make them. Why they don’t is just one more mystery surrounding Seiko’s product strategy.

I have a modded SKX - with a sapphire crystal and the turtle movement inside. I really like it.
