DUE TO COVID CLOSING DOWN EVERY RC PUBLIC SHOW IN THE UK THERE WERE NO OPPORTUNITIES FOR PILOTS TO MAKE THE CUSTOMARY MISTAKES WEVE COME TO KNOW,

ILL WAGER THEY ARE GLAD TO HAVE A REPRIEVE FROM CRASHING THIS SEASON - LOL,

DEANO AND I HAVE HAD SUCH FUN WHILE FILMING AT THE RC SHOWS AND CLUBS HERE IN THE UK AND HAVE MADE MANY MANY NEW FRIENDS OVER THE PAST TEN SEASONS ITS BEEN QUITE HUMBLING AT TIMES,

THE MOST HUMBLING MOMENT OF ALL CAME AT THE WILLIS WARBIRDS FIGHTER MEET BACK IN JUNE 2016 WHEN UNBEKNOWNST TO DEANO & I THE TWO TEDS - MATT HARROWVEN AND CHRIS WILLIS HAD ORGANISED A FUND ON FACE BOOK ASKING FELLOW MODELERS TO MAKE A DONATION TOWARDS UPGRADING ALL OF OUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND CAMERA AS A VERY BIG THANK YOU FOR ALL THE VIDEOS WE HAVE UPLOADED OF THESE GUYS & GIRLS OVER THE PAST NINE YEARS AT THESE SHOWS !

IT WAS SO HUMBLING THAT I MIGHT HAVE CRIED SEVERAL TIMES DURING THAT AFTERNOON - LOL,

AS IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH OF A SHOCK WHEN WE FINISHED FILMING ON THE FLIGHT LINE OF THE LMA ELVINGTON SHOW TWO WEEKS LATER DAVE & ANDY JOHNSON & KEN Mc CORMICK PRESENTED US WITH A CARD WITH MORE DONATIONS IN IT - GOBSMACKED AGAIN TO SAY THE LEAST,

WE WERE THEN GIVEN SEVERAL CASH DONATIONS FROM MORE FRIENDS AND THE TOTAL DONATION FINALLY CAME OUT AT OVER £1650 !!!!!

WITH THIS MONEY WE BOUGHT TWO NEW MONITORS AND ALSO A TOWER COMPUTER AND WILL UPGRADE THE VIDEO CAMERA SOON,

ANOTHER MILESTONE IN OUR RC HISTORY WOULD BE THAT OF DEANO BEING OFFERED A POSITION AS A DISPLAY PILOT IN THE AZAEROSPORTS DISPLAY TEAM THIS YEAR,

AND HE WAS ALSO OFFERED A SPONSORSHIP FROM GP ENGINES (GREAT POWER ENGINES),

ANOTHER MILESTONE FOR DEANO WAS THAT HE WON THE 3D FREESTYLE MASTERS AEROBATIC COMPETITION BACK IN FEBRUARY 2017 AND AGAIN IN MARCH 2018.

Having built several of these myself the first thing that comes to mind is always the hundreds of hours invested in making them so detailed. I probably enjoy building them as much as flying them. Great video sir! I did notice this was #1...oh my.

As a pilot, I still love to build and fly R/C aircraft. 60yrs (young) cracking them up at the field never upsets me. I love to play with them because I'm not in the pilot seat. When I'm piloting an aircraft, I'm excited but serious, R/C flying is just good fun! Cheers!

Hope that watching 6 months of expert building and considerable expense come down in a heap somehow brings new people into this great hobby . Crashes are the exception for most experienced modelers who have "paid their dues"

Man, how many times have I seen a loose screw ruin an RC flight? And so many retract collapses! As for the hotshot heli crashes? LOL.

I remember being devastated when one of my cheap model rockets that took a few hours to build crashed or got damaged... can't imagine what its like to crash one of these that you spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on, spent days or weeks putting it together, and may be fully at fault for the crash as opposed to a model rocket crash where shit out of your control usually leads to the failure rather then you crashing it yourself trying to land!
