Just a comment about unplugging the actuator: the plug is water tight, WHEN IT IS CONNECTED. If you disconnect it, expect the contact pins to start corroding quite quickly on both the actuator and the wire, let alone road gunk getting into them. A day or two, if kept dry and gunk free, is likely fine, but these connectors rely on being sealed and never letting contaminants in. I suppose you could use some DIELECTRIC GREASE on both sides of the connection to provide protection from corrosion for maybe a few weeks.
Summary: The longer the connection is open, the more likely it will fail in the future. Don't just unplug it, stuff if up the wheel well and expect to plug it in weeks later without consequence...and those plugs are b#tches to clean dirt and corrosion from.

Man I have a 2021 bmw M340i I used bimmerlink and I can't believe my m340i has burble now it pops more in comfort mode with the flaps open then sport mode lol

Remove fuse foe it much easier than dealing with unplugged wire

Did this few months ago on the G20 M340i MY2022 pulled the plug out from the flap thing on the back box and I can honestly say the mpg has gone down I get extra 15-20 mpg per half a tank bro. No EML and a touch louder on cold plus abit more drone
