Does the setting stick when you restart the car? I want to do that but I read in some forums that it doesn’t stick and you have to select Sporty every time you start the car.

I've recently got an X5 M50i that originally comes with this sporty engine sound option. Is it the same one you get here? Does it make the original option any different?

Does not work on my 2020 G30.
Use Bimmerlink to do this but it requires starting bimmerlink, connecting etc. every time when you restart engine.

The option does appear in the idrive but then nothing happens which i actually select a mode.

Is this working on g20 330d? Sound is better?

This option does not exist in bimmercode anymore :(

This doesn’t have anything to do with the valves. It changes that poser fake engine sound pumped through the speakers. If you want to open the valves, put it in sport plus mode and pull the fuse for the valve control unit.
